An early morning fire Monday extensively damaged a single-family home on Second Street, police say.

The single-alarm fire at 4:38 a.m. at 1238 Second St. was confined to the rear of the home of the Thomas Hickey family, police said.

No injuries were reported in the blaze, which is still under investigation by the city's fire investigation team, Officer David Jordan said.

CLIFTON PARK - The town Industrial Development Agency will meet at8 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall to discuss a proposed $316,000 lease of space for the agency in the town community center on Clifton Common.

The center, which is under construction, will house the Shenendehowa Senior Citizens and the CAPTAIN youth organization. The agency deferred action on the arrangement two weeks ago while final language for the lease was being worked out.

The money the IDA would turn over to the town comes from accumulated fees for bonds issued by the agency for building projects.

The proposed lease would be for 3,100 square feet of space in the center fora term of 24 years.
