SA: Fire that threatened homes now under control
ADELAIDE, Jan 18 AAP - A fire that burnt 120 hectares of grass and scrub east of Adelaideand forced the evacuation of residents has been brought under control.
However, Country Fire Service (CFS) personnel continued to patrol Birdwood today andmonitor the fire, believed to have been caused by a man burning paper and cardboard ina large drum.
More than 100 firefighters and three water bombing aircraft took three hours to containthe fire, which started at 3.40pm (CDT) …
