Warren Douglas "W.D." Neeland, a South Side bowling alleyproprietor, died Saturday in Humana Hospital-Michael Reese.
In 1982, Mr. Neeland realized his lifelong dream when hepurchased Globe Bowl, a 32-lane house at 4949 S. Aberdeen, and namedit Neeland's Globe Bowl.
Mr. Neeland, who belonged to a number of leagues, had theforesight to make his facility accessible to people with handicapsbefore the enactment of the American Disabilities Act of 1992.
